Lost for different reasons

While this Touya didn't have a hat on, his hood was over his moppy brown hair. He was equipped with a thick branch delivered to him by a Luxray that he used to trace a large message into the sand.

'SEE WHAT I SEE'.

While there were happy people around joying the mild summer weather and the overall atompshere of a clean and lovely beach, he still felt pretty miserable and alone. For the past few days he felt nothing but dejavu and loneliness, and this was his cry of attention that may or may not be subtle. May or may not be successful.

[Welp. A child is very awkward, not someone he'd want to see in his angst. He sort of towered over with the branch over his shoulder and behind him, the Luxray's tail slowly swayed around. It approached slowly... sniffing her like it recognized something on her. He noted this rather than verbally answering at first, he watched his Luxray who was like his giant breathing clue detector. Not...a helpful one because he can't understand the tongue of pokemon but hey. ]

[She'll give the Luxray a little smile and attempt to pet its sparking mane...]

So you just wanted to see the Luxray? [He asks as he watches her pet this protective blue lion.]

Ah--no. I wanted to see if you were all right... but he came to say hello, so...

[mr_neutral]

...Not necessarily.

[He finds this so awkward. But his Luxray is reacting to her...]

I'm lost. Not typically lost... I don't even know my own name, you see, but beaches...

You have amnesia?

... I'm sorry. Do you need help with anything?

Well, kind of impossible to ask for help when you don't remember anything. It makes me wonder if all this knowledge I have is even that useful. I guess it saves me from being naive, but how selective this amnesia is...

... do you think your pokemon remember? [Petting that Luxray again... it reminds her of Sparkle]

He certainly does. He's kind of like a pointer, but I don't really understand him beyond the way he guides me around. I have others too but he wants to take the lead.

[If only he remembered that his name is Chief.]

Maybe you can find some friends then...

World's kinda big for that...or was. This place is boxed in like it's under quarantine.

But it means if some friends turn up you'll find them more easily, right?

He's energetic with the way he smells you. He usually isn't.

Rrroowww!! [That answer is good, Lani! It's excellent!! That's what this pawing Luxray says.]

[small giggle] She looks a bit like you, too. [The way you react to things]

[He's inherently more aggressive, and it persists even though he doesn't mean it maliciously.His purrs sound like bubbly growls, which shows he could roar very loudly if he wanted. Touya steps up to him with a gentle tug to his mane as a reminder.]

[He's chalking it up to personality quirk. Not all Luxray behave like this. Gears in his mind are churning.]

[To the luxray] So d'you have a name?

I don't...[uh...] Maybe he does. I don't "rename" so to say.

[Luxray is nodding and pawing at the sand. This is Touya's next hint--or statement that he is correct.]

...See. I didn't even know that.

"Rename"?

If he already has a name I don't know why give him another?

[... pet. She's thinking]

[Chief is a roughneck, and his x-ray eyes is eying the ribbon around Lapis' neck. He's in the mood for string no matter how much more smaller than him it is.

That is until his ear is yanked.]

Grrrghhh...

[The Luxray isn't really mad at this, he's actually very fond of the stern behavior. While his owner had no memory of anything, his reactions and actions were still the same. It gave him hope.]

[NO NOT THE RIBBON--she looks in her pockets to see if she has something he could play with... which she doesn't, but she does take out some pokeblocks]
